What's an mStore?
An mStore is an online ringtone store that allows you to sell or give away your real music ringtones from your web site, blog, myspace page, or any other web page. It's great for emerging musicians, bands, record labels, or anyone who owns audio content and wants to get it on peoples' phones. You must have the rights to distribute the audio content. Here's an example.
How much does an mStore cost?
If you just want to give away your ringtones, it's free. If you want to sell your tones, monthly rate plans begin at $9.95/month. Here are the tiers of service:
 Platinum Plan: $49.95 per month

Payout: 50% of net sales
Gold Plan: $19.95 per month
# of Ringtones: 48 tones
Payout: 45% of net sales
Silver Plan: $9.95 per month
# of Ringtones: 15 tones
Payout: 40% of net sales
Free Promo Plan: Free
# of Ringtones: 3
No payout. Tones are given away for free as promotions.

If I sell my tones, who sets the price of my tones and how much do I get paid?
You set the price of your ringtones - between $0.99 - $3.00 is a good range, but it's up to you. You earn between 40-50% of your sales depending on your mStore plan. See payout rates above. Xingtone will pay you monthly once you reach $50 in net sales.
When will I receive my share of ringtone sales?
When you have accumulated $50 in net sales, we will send you a check. We pay on the 15th of every month for mStores that have net sales of over $50.
How does the mStore program work?
It's easy:
- Click here to sign up and select your mStore plan.
- Upload your short audio clips (mp3/wav format, anywhere between 5-30 seconds in length is fine). To cut your ringtone clips, use any standard audio editor like Audacity (free).
- Label your tones - artist, title, price - all of the basic information.
- Choose a web template for your store or copy the ringtone html code and paste on your web site.
- Once you're up and running, promote your store like crazy. Link to it wherever you can - on your web site, myspace page, blog, friends' pages. The more you promote it, the more downloads you will see. Xingtone offers free promotional tools & tips.
- Check your results in real-time by going to the Reports section. If you are selling tones, Xingtone will pay you monthly once you reach $50 in net sales.
How do my fans/customers download my ringtones?
Fans can preview the tones on your site. They select the ones they want and enter phone information (number, model, mobile carrier) - once the transaction is complete, the tone is sent immediately to the customer's phone. It arrives as a text message with a link to the actual ringtone. So, your customers need text messaging and mobile Internet services enabled.

Will Xingtone help me promote my ringtones?
Yes, naturally, but it's really up to you to achieve your own success through smart web/email promotion and aggressive grassroots/word-of-mouth tactics. Xingtone provides promotional tools & tips to help you succeed and will also feature your band/store on its highly-trafficked web site. There will also be numerous syndication opportunities in the near future, so it's important that you generate good buzz for your ringtones!
How can I upgrade my mStore Plan so I can sell more ringtones?
On your mStore’s management page, you should see a link on the left side to upgrade your mStore. If you do not see the link, you can also contact us here.
How can I sell discounted ringtones and packages?
We are now offering Discounts for your customers. You as the mStore owner, decide on what type of discounts you want your customer to receive.
We have two types of Discounts:
1. Discount Package - A package of ringtones for a pre-determined price.
- ie. Get 5 ringtones for $8.
- In the example, if a customer purchase 6 ringtones, 5 ringtones will be charged $8 and 1 ringtone will charged regular price.
2. Percentage Discount - A Percentage Off of Total Price when a pre-determined number of ringtones have been selected for purchase.
- ie. Get 20% Off on purchases of 5 or more ringtones.
You can have multiple discounts running at the same time for your mStore as well.
- ie. Get 10% Off on purchases of 5 or more ringtones AND Get 20% Off on purchases of 10 or more ringtones.
- ie. Get 5 ringtones for $8 AND Get 10 ringtones for $15.
How do I change the credit card information for my mStore?
We are currently working on the ability for you to do it yourself. Until we get that up and running, please contact us and we will be glad to assist you in updating your credit card information.

Why is my mStore’s purchase page not secured with “https:?”
When you have used the "Extract HTML Code" option, you may not have included all the code onto a page that is located on a remote server. We automatically provide the correct HTML code for mstores that reside on Xingtone's Servers.
- To correct this:
- Go to the EXTRAS tab in Management
- Copy all the code in "Export Javascript"
- Paste the code onto the page on your remote server
- Copy all the code in "HTML Code"
- Paste the code onto the page on your remote server
I'm concerned someone is infringing my copyright. What can I do?
Copyrights and Designated Agent for Notification of Claims of
Infringement
Xingtone respects the intellectual property of others, and we
ask our users to do the same. Xingtone may, in appropriate circumstances
and at our discretion, terminate service to users who infringe
the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that
your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright
infringement, please contact us
and provide Xingtone’s copyright agent, in writing, the
following information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright
Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512:
- an electronic or physical signature of the person authorized
to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest;
- a description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been
infringed, including the URL (i.e., web page address) of the
location where the copyrighted work exists or a copy of the
copyrighted work;
- identification of the URL or other specific location on the
Site where the material that you claim is infringing is located;
- your address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that
the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its
agent, or the law;
- a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the
above information in your notice is accurate and that you are
the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s
behalf.
